This weeks guest is a PGA tour golfer, fashion icon, country clubs' favorite headache, and most importantly, he could be ERNEST's father: JOHN DALYThis week we have a surprise episode, which brings the potential for some life-altering surprises... Father and son kick off the episode by discussing JD's love for music, golf, and drinking, and how all three of those go hand in hand. Next, the two explore the likelihood that they might actually be father and son, JD's first time being drunk, and what the golf tour is like in South Africa. Then John shares where he learned how to golf, a time he got cheated out of a club championship at 13, and when, why, and how he started hitting golf balls out of people's mouths. The two close out the episode with the story of when JD beat Tiger Woods in a tournament after Tiger was talking smack, some of John's biggest bets in golf, and our father & son duo share a sentimental moment to close out the episode. -----Catch the video podcast on YouTube, and follow us on social media (@jbepod) for clips, bonus content, and updates throughout the week.FOLLOW ERNEST ON:SpotifyApple MusicInstagramTwitterTikTokFacebookYouTubePRODUCED BY:Big LoudRyan KroonAlex Lagos / Lagos CreativeThank you to our presenting sponsor, Goody's Hangover Powder

GIR EPISODE 12 – PGA PROFESSIONAL GOLFER JOHN DALY INTRODUCES THE MOBETTA GOLF TOUR
In this week’s episode of GIR, we offer a seat at the roundtable to the somewhat infamous, mostly legendary PGA Tour Professional John Daly. John gets a lot of press for a lot of different reasons, but an often overlooked aspect of John’s career are his philanthropy and charity efforts. Dating back to his first Major victory in the 1991 PGA Championship at Crooked Stick, Daly gave $30,000 to the family of a man who died during the tournament due to lightning strike. Since then, Daly has been a proud supporter of a number of organizations including St. Jude Childern’s Hospital and several Veterans organizations. Most recently, Daly has focused fund raising efforts on his newly formed Heart of A Lion Charity (HOAL). HOAL’s first major donation will be the construction of a new Boys & Girls Club in Dardanelle, Arkansas, where Daly lives and holds his annual golf tournament in support of that club. The new group is also building a home for a veteran in Oklahoma. The primary focus of our interview centers on John’s involvement in the launch of a new semi pro tour called MoBetta Golf Tour. John joins a team of industry veteran including Mick Weber, Robert Nunn, and Maury Tate in launching MoBetta. As you’ll hear, the Mobetta premise is this…. The MoBetta Golf Tour is designed to give the everyday golf enthusiast the chance to compete for Cash. Our tournaments are set up to have low entry fees and high payouts. The number of players in each tournament will determine how many players get paid. Our goal of 72 players per tournament will pay out the top 10 places. In addition we cover John’s recent cancer diagnosis, playing on the Champions Tour and his son’s aspirations in collegiate golf and much much more. Enjoy the show!
