This is a very special episode. Zander Schloss - the bass player for the seminal punk band The Circle Jerks - brought his guitar to this session, and he not only tells an amazing story of his career in music, the steep toll of addiction and his hard fought journey thru recovery but he also plays original songs that reflect the long, complex path of his life. This is a story of acceptance and surrender but also of persistence. You can support this podcast at my Patreon Page: https://www.patreon.com/thedrunkalogues
Episode 26. You may know this week's guest as Kevin the Nerd from Repo Man. Or from playing with the Circle Jerks and Joe Strummer in the 1980s. Or you don't know him at all. Either way, he's got some amazing stories for us and thoughts on addiction and the magic and tragedy of life. That and some solo acoustic songs to tie it all together. Thanks for joining us.
Join Zander Schloss and I as we discuss his new solo album, The Circle Jerks, Mark Lanegan, rare stories about Joe Strummer. We also discuss the Alex Cox films Repo Man and Straight To Hell. We even have a very rare, in studio live performance of the Salsa Y Ketchup song. And much, much more!
